In 2010, two French students love three reported "a little" or "a lot" school and nine out of ten feel good. This finding should nevertheless be relatively satisfactory nuanced. There is a strong opinion that degradation with age and a significant difference in gender, boys enjoying school less than girls. In addition, young French people have a representation of the very professional future depends on the level and field of study. This assumption is based on a double phenomenon: there are, on the one hand, strong competition among the best students and the most advantaged socio-economic and, secondly, a sense of motivation among other.

However, several studies show that the quality of the educational experience and interactions associated with it is essential for the social skills of the child, but also for his ability to learn. Countries, particularly Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian have made welfare a major focus of their classroom teaching. It appears that strategies to improve school climate, to be effective, must be part of the daily life of the institution and involve the whole school community (staff, students, parents), which may require a series modest changes or more ambitious. This is both to fight against school violence that enhance cooperation among students or make the work environment more welcoming.
