REPORT "The negotiations on climate change: towards a new international order?"

With the prospect of a new international agreement to fight against climate change beyond 2012, the Strategic Analysis Centre presents the key points of negotiation.

Based on the simple idea that a new agreement will only be meaningful if it is signed (and ratified) by the two largest emitters of greenhouse gases that are the United States and China, this report proposes the analysis of their energy and their room for maneuver in international negotiations.
He also discusses the position of a number of other major players in the negotiations that are India, Russia, Brazil, Canada or the OPEC countries.
