REPORT "The mental health everybody's business. For a coherent approach to quality of life"

17/11/09

On the theme of "mental health" and a continuation of the Stiglitz report, the report examines the consequences of new approaches to measuring GDP and welfare in the social policy field.

Suicides at work is one of the most visible forms of a variety of pathologies of modernity. Stress, addiction, depression ... All manifestations of a malaise that prompted Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Secretary of State for Forward Planning and development of the digital economy, to order the Strategic Analysis Centre, from last spring, work thorough mental health in France.

Mental health is not just about the treatment of serious diseases. It affects all the factors that affect the well being of our society. Beyond a detailed examination of the mental health of the French, this work attempts to draw lessons from foreign countries advanced in the implementation of prevention program. But it also shows that many public policies in France tend to consider this increasingly structuring dimension of persons.
